Door to door and Step by Step

I have been amazed over the years at how God has gone before us, prepared His plan for us. My heart desires to let God's plan work through our faith and His gift of wisdom. The seed we plant, the harvest we gather, depends on our prayers and obedience.

Turner Arant and I, and all who go with us, stay in one accord. We are one in the Holy Spirit. This year we were blessed to see our Honduran friends from our team 2 years ago (2009) - Jony and Nelly; they are a local pastor and his wife. They worked with us door to door and village to village every day. Soon after we returned to the states we heard that Nelly had suffered Guillain–Barré syndrome and was paralyzed for many months. She was removed from life support and taken to a room to die. But she refused to die. Three times the doctors asked her husband Jony to get a coffin. He refused to believe Nelly would die. And thanks be to God --SHE IS ALIVE.

In 2010, Nelly came to Teupasenti to see the team and she was in a wheelchair; she could not stand. Thanks to her faith in healing and a loving husband who never left her side, she heard the voice of God. When they came to visit us this year, she was able to walk. They stayed overnight and asked to go door to door visiting with us. I was so afraid she might fall; she was in braces from her shoes to her knees. Again her faith was her strength. The roads were dirt, rough, and rocky. I believe it was our second stop that morning. I was holding her tight. We stopped by the Sanchez Coffee plant and asked to see the manager or owner. We were received by a great spirit. We asked if we could speak to his men who were grading and bagging coffee. We were welcomed, thanks be to God! Thirty-one men gathered around us.

Turner asked them if we could tell them what the Bible says, how to receive salvation and eternal life. After this Nelly shared her story about what Jesus had done for her. The doctors could not save her life, but Nelly knew if she lived she could tell others. It was a great witness. She lives to tell others about her Jesus who died for us. All the men gathered around and as they all prayed for forgiveness. I felt as if the earth was shaking and the angels where all around to gather their names for the Great book of life in heaven.

We live for days like this one; and Nelly and Jony will still be preaching and teaching when Turner and I move on up to our home in heaven. -story by: Anita Butler
