The Thomas Herrington Bible Institute began the 2010 school year with much excitement and anticipation for the coming year. In the full-time, on campus study program we began the year with 6 new students enrolling for the first time. There are 9 students in the second year class and 5 students in the third year class. After completion of three years at the Bible Institute, these students will have completed the 36 regular courses of this program plus the 10 courses offered through our part-time study program.

SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY
Systematic Theology Class
In 2009 we completed a four year program of study that was offered only to those pastors and leaders who have graduated from either the full-time program or our BCTP part time program. This study was a 12 course program of study of 10 different books of the Bible and was taught by North America pastors. To replace this offering of study, we have begun a 10 course study on Systematic Theology. This is also being taught by North American pastors and the text is Wayne Grudem’s book, “Systematic Theology”. We had our first class this month with 38 pastors enrolled.
Bill Starr “The foundational knowledge that the students have is greater that I had anticipated. We were using the standard systematic theology text that is used in many master’s level programs in many seminaries in the US and these men were able to discuss the topics and ask appropriate follow-up questions for further explanation…… Their passion for ministry, their hunger for learning, and their love for their people was both encouraging and convicting to me.”
- Bill Starr, Teacher
Brandon Porter “I hope that our churches can see the value of our investments in the Thomas Herrington Bible Institute as we work with these churches and pastors. When we invest our time and energies in these students we are making an impact on 39 different villages.”
– Brandon Porter, Teacher
The nineteen students of the full-time program and 10 church members from local churches participated in a 3 day evangelism workshop. The workshop was taught by Will Pounds of Arkansas.  Rev. Pounds is a former missionary to South America and has taught evangelism classes in several countries for many years. The mornings were spent in classroom study and each afternoon the students traveled to the village of Linaca where the Bible Institute students are hoping to plant a church this year. Fifteen people prayed to accept the Lord this week as a result of this evangelistic study.
