Baptist Medical & Dental Mission International exists under the Lordship of Jesus Christ to evangelize the lost, to disciple the saved, and to minister to the needs of the poor. They came in buses, they came in trucks, and many walked but more than 800 people came to the campus of the Thomas Herrington Bible Institute in Las Crucitas to participate in the celebration of the graduation of 16 students. The Bible Institute graduation is the biggest day in the lives of the churches of Honduras. Some of the church members traveled more than 6 hours to attend the celebration. The Bible Institute in Nicaragua had two men graduate from the three-year modular program and eight pastors graduate from the two-year post grad program. The “Carolyn Herrington Award” was presented to a pastoral student who excelled in academics, leadership and personal spiritual life. This year’s recipient is Carlos de Jesus Velasquez, who will receive a stipend of $100 per month for twelve months. In the photo above, the Bible Institute in Honduras had 16 graduates - 3 from the full-time 3 year program, 5 from Leadership Program, 8 from the Bibical Studies Program.
