Photo1 We pray all is well with each of you. God continues to teach us, guide us, and reveal Himself to us in various ways. We pray each of you had a blessed Easter celebrating the resurrection of our Lord! What is your typical meal for Easter? In Honduras, its seafood! However, seafood in La Esperanza is very expensive. Last year, as Rene and I were buying us some seafood to prepare for the occasion, we felt led to give some fish to Pastor Paulino and his family. We were so moved when received a phone call from Rosa, his wife, later that day. She was very emotional and thanked us over and over for this blessing for her family. She said it had been a long time since they had eaten “fish soup.” So, this year, we decided to bless each of the five pastors in our area with a couple of pounds of fish for Easter. Featured in the picture is Pastor Gregorio from San Miguelito. Each family was very grateful for this special blessing.
As we shared with you all in our last newsletter, Rene and Gerbacio started a radio program on Saturday afternoons for one hour. Within a couple of weeks, the owners of the radio program asked if they would add another hour free of charge. In a short couple of months, this program called “Morfosis Juvenil” has become the most popular program in our city. Many Christian businesses have asked to advertise on their show because so many people listen to this program. God is truly blessing this opportunity to proclaim His word to hundreds of people.
In addition to teaching kindergarten classes in the morning, I (Brooke) have continued to be able to make copies and pass out supplies to the community churches for children’s Sunday School thanks to your continued support and supplies. I also had a special time with the ladies in Transformacion Church as we took a closer look at the book of Ruth and enjoyed a Saturday morning of fellowship and fun.
Rene has been investing a lot of time into five young men from the youth group. Most of these guys are still in school and have a hunger to be involved in the work of the Lord. They have been meeting weekly with Rene for Bible study and prayer as well as assisting him in teaching Bible in a couple of the high schools. One of these young men is named Eduart. Eduart is the son of a single mom in town. He was getting in trouble at home because his mom said he was being lazy. So Rene made it a point to call him each morning at 6:00 a.m. to make sure he was getting up and helping his mom in the house. One morning, Rene forgot to call, but we received a call from Eduart to make sure Rene was up and helping me around the house! J Please pray for Eduart and these young men as they begin to change their choices to those of self-serving to God-serving! Photo

Photo3 The ladies in our church were surprised by a special dinner presented by the men for Mother’s Day.  Also other moms in Dolores celebrated this special day with dinner and a piñata thanks to your support! Photo2

Please continue to pray for us and the church plants. Pray specifically for church plant here in La Esperanza: Iglesia Transformacion (Transformation Church). Pray that the Lord will continue to draw people and families from this town unto Himself as we continue to lift HIM up.
May God continue to bless you abundantly, Rene and Brooke Pizzati
