Incredibly better...

     John and I had the pleasure of visiting with Jony & Nelly Aguilar last week. Nelly is doing incredibly better now and is at home. She and her family are renting a house in Tegucigalpa, not too far from the hospital where she had been in ICU for 5 months fighting for her life with Guillain Barre, an auto-immune disease. She goes to physical therapy three mornings a week and can move her shoulders, arms, hands, and legs. Even though she is unable to walk at this moment, the doctors and therapists feel very confident that Nelly will regain all her strength back, in time.
     She is SO happy to be out of the hospital and in the comforts of "home" where she can be with her husband, two children, and family who come to visit. This past week Nelly had her trach removed. Rodrigo, age 3, is proud to have his mama home with him!
     Nelly is extremely grateful for all the prayers and support of BMDMI, team captains, and team members, but more importantly to God for allowing her to survive. "Dios es bueno y siempre fiel" God is good and faithful, always.
